The ‘Siri’ of life….

Siri of life!

Okay! So at this point, I will like to make a humble declaration: whatever post I put on this blog is directed to me first before anyone else, just like that saying- when you point your finger at someone, the other four at pointing back at you. So I am no saint or superhuman who does all things right [work-in-progress]. Just thought to throw this in. #Declarationover#

The matter of today is a very sensitive one. Hopefully, you’ll understand my point of view. Let’s reason together on the ‘Siri of your life’. Yes! ‘Siri’ [I know it’s an app on iphone and ipad] but this ‘Siri’ is different. This ‘Siri’ is Horoscope with the inclusion of zodiac sign. I carried out a limited but vital research on this, and will like to share with you.

So from what I gathered, Horoscope is an astrological chart or diagram representing the sun, moon, planets, astrological aspects and sensitive angles at the time of an event, such as the moment of a person’s birth. I didn’t stop there. I went on to check what astrology is, [I knew it entails celestial components and all] but I wanted more information on that. Astrology is made up of diverse systems of divination based on the assertion that there’s a relationship between celestial occurrence and events in the human world. [need I say that, divination is the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means#fullstop#]

However, I also saw this definition of divination- the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic, standardized process or ritual. #endofresearch#

So I have chosen not to go any further with the research as I believe I’ve seen enough. If I am to understand all the above clearly, Horoscope is predicting the future through divination according to the position of the celestial bodies at the time of an event, [the common one-birth of a human being]. So this got me thinking, why do we choose to believe that the position of the moon, star or sun can predict our future or our day? Let me be honest with you, I used to believe in this horoscope concept, the libra and all. When I joined Facebook newly, there was an app that encouraged my ‘appetite’, the newspapers didn’t help matters either.

The truth is I can’t remember what I heard that helped me desist from this ‘TRAP’, but it sure did a whole lot of good. Because the idea that the celestial bodies you should command is what determines your future is grotesque.

A friend once told me how some people cannot go out without knowing the horoscope for the day. At first, I was shocked; but later I realised how true it could be considering how I got addicted to checking Facebook and newspapers for ‘zodiac sign reports’ for the day and week. So today, I choose to say that we should not give our powers to the celestial bodies, we have got so much power to see the future when we connect with the ‘one who holds the future’ GOD.

The awful thing about this report is that, it is general. Why am I saying so? When you put in your date of birth details it gives you the same information, it has given to someone else who has included the same date of birth, as you know there are a lot of people with the same date of birth as you. {I’m not sure there’s one that includes hour and minute of birth} So where does the ‘uniqueness’ of every human being come into place, then?

You may not agree with me but the truth is: these reports feed the mind with expectations, some that you could be meeting and some that you could be falling short off, but today, I want to ask you a question: Do you really think that the prediction from the position of the moon, sun and the stars at your time of birth is the very accurate and appropriate way to predict the future [and your character] of a Prince or Princess like you?

P.S please feel free to voice out your opinions in the comment sections, I’m eager to hear what you think.[personal experiences, opinions, disagreements]

  1. I completely agree with you. We humans create for ourselves reasons to fear even when there is no need for it. Well, I have never taken a second look at the 'horoscope' thing, but I'm glad someone finally shares my believe.
