…….You log on to ‘Precious Thoughts’

This post is four weeks late, but I am glad it’s finally making it up here. Where have I been? I have been mentally preparing myself for the year and more.  I have been fighting battles on my feet and on my knees. I have been planning and visualizing more on what I want ‘Precious Thoughts’ to be like. And it is time to start what I have been drawing up in my imagination. It’s definitely not the earliest start I wanted, but I am done dreaming; and it’s time to do the work, nevertheless.

I am really thankful for my little platform, and in my being thankful, I have been brainstorming, praying and strategizing on what needs to stay, be left out and modified. So I have been asking myself: How can I do better?

So I came to the conclusion that Precious Thoughts needs a ‘workable structure’. While, I am still working on the different plans for the blog, I thought it wise to start-up the ones that I can run with now, before my ‘big’ plans become a reality.

Here are the segments that have been launched on this blog:

I hope to still continue with these different segments, with some additions and modifications. I looked through some of the posts of 2015 and I was pleased with the outcome of the Samuel series, and I am pursuing that line of posts, which will be seen in a new segment, titled: Rightly Dividing. Reference for this segment is 2 Timothy 2 v 15 KJV….

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I am believing that the Holy Spirit will help us ‘rightly divide’ the word  of God, according to the mind of Christ, as we should not be oblivious to the fact that we are in such an age where opinions trump the mind of Christ. But I am expectant that the Spirit of God will give us the interpretation that depicts the mind of God on His word.

In addition, to this new segment will be a feature titled monthly acts of love. John 13 v 35 AMP…..

By this shall all [men] know that you are my disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].

This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples- when they see the love you have for each other. MSG

The goal of this feature is to help us love everyone intentionally and purposefully. Personally, I am aware of how I get very consumed and focused on myself, my triumphs, my challenges and more; and I know I am not alone in this. So this feature, MAL [Monthly Acts of Love] is a way of reminder that we can definitely do more for others [reflecting Christ through acts of love] when we put our hearts to it. These acts will stretch us beyond our present capacities, they will be sacrifices. Also, a reflection on what these acts teaches us about ourselves and Christ, will be added in the Wisdom Nuggets segment. I believe that these acts will be transformational acts that will lead us on the path to getting close enough to God to hear Him breathe.

Also, there’ll be a touch-up on the Let’s Talk/ Let’s Bare It All segment. I am working on making this segment a podcast segment, where we do actually get to talk. Well, I get to speak and also do interviews with ‘guests’ on whatever topic that is deliberated on for each post. I wish there was a way responses/comments can be done vocally.  [I guess WordPress  will get working on this my suggestion] I hope and work towards making this a reality by the beginning of April.

This is a snippet of the structure I will be working on/with. Of course, your feedbacks and suggestions are very much welcome. Which segments of the blog did you enjoy last year? Which post(s) had a significant impact in your daily living for Christ?

I am sorry that I was MIA, I will try my best not to make this a habit. It’s a very bad habit, I know.

Just incase my MIA has made you feel I have no love for you, let this post cause a change of heart. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me, perusing my very old posts, nudging me to get back to my place. I really appreciate y’all.

Monthly Act of love

 I know we are a week into this month already, but we will get on with this new feature anyway. This month, we will be praying for those that have hurt us in any way. We will be setting out time to bring blessings upon those that have hurt/persecuted/wished us evil. Our key references for this act are Matthew 5 v 44 and Romans 12 v 14.
