There are certain reactions that most human beings will never appreciate. I like to believe that human beings are quite sensitive, even if, not everyone likes to show such side. One reaction that I am quite certain that you and I will never appreciate is getting the ‘Oh! that’s a big lie’ spill out from the mouth of a person you had just spent 180 seconds of your time, telling him/her something that happened; and being certain of telling the truth as you know it and as it is, but still, you are still called a ‘big, fat liar’.

One reaction that I have learnt to appreciate on a daily basis, is the ‘Huh?? reaction’. I will explain. Continue reading

Happy New Month!

It is a new month, and you will normally be expecting a ‘Wisdom Nugget’ today, but there has been a swap. The Wisdom Nugget for the month of October will be the next post. I have had this topic being pressed on my heart and I thought I ‘offload’ it today.

Before I get on with today’s post, I will like to set the context of ‘cool’ that will be referred to in the post. The word ‘cool’ can be used to depict different things. From the context of cool being defined as popular to the context of cool being defined as fashionable, trendy, funky; and its meaning is inexhaustive. Continue reading

SEE WHAT HE SAID: Book Review!

IMG_1290Hello Everyone!

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the second edition of See what he said. The first edition was in April.  As usual, this is not a publicity scheme.

Last year, I took the book ‘Start with what you have’ by Sam Adeyemi, from my brother. In retrospect, about a month after I read the book, I started blogging. So, when I saw it among my collection of books, I decided to read it again, to remind myself of the wisdom nuggets and to do a book review for my Precious Thinkers.

Start with what you have is a 90 page book, with 8 chapters in it. If you are someone who is not inclined to reading big books, then this book will definitely be a good one for you, considering that I finished it in an hour thirty minutes. It is definitely a must read if you are stuck thinking of what you are supposed to do with your life. Personally, I think most of us get to a crossroad, where we do not have an idea of who we want to become or how to start on who we want to become. Continue reading

Holla! I know it has been a while on here. Precious Thoughts has been silent. But that is all over now. Well! I was missing in action because I had to prepare for my Pre-bar exams, which I wrote last week [not all though, just 2]. Working, studying and blogging were becoming overwhelming, so I had to focus on my exams. Oh! and it does not mean, I love you all any less. It is just that my career qualification aspect is requiring more of my time, at this stage. But I will not stop blogging. So, I am sorry for taking off just like that. A few weeks ago, I happened to hear something new and shocking [Well! shocking to me]. Continue reading
