You know how we say that when we meet God, there are many questions we will have for Him. Well, if you have never said such, you must be a saint. I have said it countless times, and I think about these many questions every other time when they pop up in my head. But you see questions about Matthew 4 v 1 will always top the chart of lists of questions for God. Here’s what that verse says in the NLT version: Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.

Question no.1 – but God why? I know it’s an incomplete question, but I know God will understand the missing words and still provide an answer.

In The Middle…

It has been almost three years since I wrote on here, and I feel like I am learning to ride a bicycle, and that’s odd because I cannot even ride a bicycle. I know! I know!! How come? That’s another story to be told another time.

I tried to look back at December 29, 2021, to reflect on where I was in life and what was taking my attention, and I remember. I remember I had just been called to the Bar in August 2021 and was aggressively job-hunting. In fact, on December 29, 2021, I was reeling in the joy of accepting a job offer with a start date in January 2022. I was ecstatic to say the least. Job-hunting is not fun, but job-hunting after the pandemic has become a Herculean task, and I was glad that job-hunting phase was over… Well, so I thought!

I am sure there is not a soul who isn’t aware that the Olympics have been taking place since August 5, and will be ending today, August 21. It has been quite interesting, if you ask me. I did not even watch as much as I would have loved to, but I tried to keep up with the news.

Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight..

The above line, I have been pondering on, since I last sang the hymn on Sunday. It is no news that I don’t take words for granted. This post brought to light this fact. Apart from the tune, the main backbone of the existence of songs are words.

I have sung this hymn: It is well with my soul, so many times, but you will agree with me that there are times when words just penetrate the surface; it’s no longer the ‘default recitation’, the thought behind the lyrics is being pondered upon; and in those few moments, you are immersed into the spirit behind the song. Hello Amazing People!

Happy New Month to you! Wow! It’s the tenth month already. October is a very special month. In just a few sentences, let me tell you why this month is different…..It is my birth month. And I’m a Nigerian, we celebrate our independence in this month as well. 1st day precisely. Happy Independence my Nigerian Readers….Yeah! For these reasons alone, October is special. It is my prayer that in this new month the Lord will cause everything that has defied His existence in our lives, to align to His purpose and bring glory to His name. In Jesus name. Amen.

So I just had a thought, that it has been a long time I made a ‘random thought post’ since the last one.

Side thought: So I was just thinking maybe at the beginning of every month, I should do a ‘random thought’ post, recapping the lessons of the previous month. So I will work on this. Tell me what you think about this as well…
