Dear PT, What Are You Choosing?

Source- Google! Source- Google!

Let’s take this as a different form of the Wisdom Nuggets, that was supposed to be here in place of today’s post. I am very sure it will more than suffice.

I am just here to remind you of some important things that we forget. Rightly put, we may choose to forget. Honestly speaking, I can say that I have chosen to forget that instead of sadness, I can choose joy; that instead of bitterness, I can choose love/kindness; perseverance over quitting; patience over instant gratification….

I can choose these things but sometimes I choose to forget not to choose, because it’s the easiest path to take. They require little or nothing from me, at the same time, they do the worst damage ever. Continue reading

#MyPsalm136…

Have you ever imagined what and how you would have expressed your love for God if you were the Israelites, who God parted the Red sea for; or if you were David, who God delivered from the many woes of his enemies?

Well, imagine no more! We don’t have to be the Isrealites or David, in order to express our gratitude or love to God. And we definitely do not have to use the same words of David and the Isrealites, we will use ours.

Yesterday, while I was studying Psalm 136, the Holy Spirit dropped this idea: How about remixing psalm 136? How about making it personal? The words of the Psalmist are very relatable, if I can say so myself. But today’s post will be an attempt to go an extra mile, and voice out reasons and evidences why I know God’s love never quits. Continue reading

WIGTW: ‘Every Christian Should know these….’

Happy New Month!

I am not an ardent promoter of the ‘Theme for the month’ affair, not that I am against it, it is just what it is. But, I am so revved up for this month, as the Lord specifically dropped a word in my Spirit, and I will like to share with you, and hopefully, we can key into it prayerfully.

December is our month of laughter. The Lord is blessing us with laughter, and all who will get the news of His workings will laugh with us. God is invading our lives with new life, that will change who we are, in a manner that will be a point of lifetime recognition of His supremacy. He is crowning your steadfastness in pleasing Him despite the odds, with an astounding fulfillment of His promises to you. Amen. Genesis 21 v 6

Today’s WIGTW is one where we talk about certain things I have found out and kept to myself, not because I was being stingy with the knowledge, but because I felt, ‘Well, every christian knows this, why be a broken record’. But if there’s anything the Holy Spirit is teaching me and helping me do, is to let go of the mindset of assuming that everyone knows these things. Wisdom Nuggets: November 2015..

Source- Google!

If I had blogged as intended two weeks ago, I am pretty sure the title of the blog post would have been ‘Life Lessons from my CN Tower climb’, but that was two weeks ago, just before I was hit with a ‘big’ change that I did not really get a grasp of how it will affect me until it did. But, oh well! I am here today. Blogging.

I do not for a second think it was a coincidence that this happened just after I blogged about ‘Have You Left Your Place?’ Anyway, let it be known that God remains the King of my life, and stays continuously guarding His own [me], so I won’t leave my place. It may seem like a fall, but it was a repositioning.

I know courtesy requires that I tell you why I was away from blogging for most of November, but I cannot. It is not yet time to share. But in all honesty, I was really hurt, angry. Not angry to a point where I wanted to turn away from God. *cues in William McDowell’s ‘Never Going Back’* No! I was just at a point where all I did was ‘turn up’, not because I did not trust God, but I could not really explain how I felt, because I did not know what I was feeling, mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. I was pretty down, I had words to blog on, but there was no spirit. I wanted to put up a post informing you of the length of the time I would be away from blogging, but then again, I could not put a time span as to how long I needed. But as always, the Word of God is nursing me back to strength. Continue reading

WIGTW: Abstaining from Sex Until Marriage. Why?

WIGTW is the abbreviation for When I Got This Wrong

Since I started blogging, I think I have touched on the sex subject, only once. Find the post, here. Most of us [Christians], shy away from this topic. I believe that keeping silent about sex in the church is dangerous, and over flogging it, has its own disadvantages, as other branches or ties of sex are then swept under the carpet. However, I am no expert, but I am no novice either. Not having knowledge or having the wrong understanding leads to destruction. So, I am pro having moderate and accurate knowledge of sex as youths, and it’s better learned from home first and the church, in that order.

Where the church is silent, the world fills the vacuum.

But before we go further into today’s post, I will like to state a few things [mantras]: Continue reading

I Cannot Mourn with Those That Mourn…

AKA I am a converted Christian but unbroken!

I hope your week has been nothing short of fantastic?

Remember in this post, I said; ‘In due time’, the part 2 of Help! I cannot rejoice with those that rejoice will be posted? Well! Today is that due time and rightly so.

Can I be honest with you? When I said: In due time, I said that because I knew that I needed a personal ministration/revelation of what it means to mourn with those that mourn. If I had published a post on this topic earlier than today, I would’ve been feeding you skeletons, no flesh. What I learnt from this is: Walk with the Spirit of God. Be honest with yourself and God. Wait on His timing, it is ALWAYS perfect.

You will be shocked to know that it is indeed more difficult to mourn with those that mourn, than to rejoice with those that rejoice. You may say: why is that? Continue reading
