…….You log on to ‘Precious Thoughts’

This post is four weeks late, but I am glad it’s finally making it up here. Where have I been? I have been mentally preparing myself for the year and more.  I have been fighting battles on my feet and on my knees. I have been planning and visualizing more on what I want ‘Precious Thoughts’ to be like. And it is time to start what I have been drawing up in my imagination. It’s definitely not the earliest start I wanted, but I am done dreaming; and it’s time to do the work, nevertheless.

I am really thankful for my little platform, and in my being thankful, I have been brainstorming, praying and strategizing on what needs to stay, be left out and modified. So I have been asking myself: How can I do better?

2016: Close Enough to Hear Him Breathe…

Source- Google Source- Google

Just last night I had told my friend that the time was 9:54pm, it felt like only 5minutes had gone by, but the next time we looked at the time, it was 10:21pm. I was marveled at first, then scared at how those minutes had gone so fast. I expressed my shock by voicing out these words to her: ‘Jesus Christ’s second coming is definitely here, already’. If that isn’t the truth, I wonder what else stands as the truth anymore.

I guess what I am trying to point out to you in the above paragraph is that year 2016 is here and isn’t in the habit of moving at anyone’s pace.

Happy New Year, PT! Continue reading

YEAR 2015: Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down…

Hello! Hello!

Is it too early to be putting up this post, you may ask just like a part of me, is doing the same? Well, it’s never too early to take stock of events, to reflect on what is working, worked and did not work well; and put things in place to improve on the ‘thumbs down’.

I mentioned in a previous post that I will be putting up today’s post, I am glad that this day has finally come. If I am to describe this year in a few words, the best encapsulating word is Growth.

This year has been one of necessary growth; visible and invisible. Growth coated with pain and laughter; and with purpose.

The purpose of this post is to engage every reader and stir up a reflective attitude, to actively seek to do better and work towards doing so. Continue reading

Happy New Month!

I am not an ardent promoter of the ‘Theme for the month’ affair, not that I am against it, it is just what it is. But, I am so revved up for this month, as the Lord specifically dropped a word in my Spirit, and I will like to share with you, and hopefully, we can key into it prayerfully.

December is our month of laughter. The Lord is blessing us with laughter, and all who will get the news of His workings will laugh with us. God is invading our lives with new life, that will change who we are, in a manner that will be a point of lifetime recognition of His supremacy. He is crowning your steadfastness in pleasing Him despite the odds, with an astounding fulfillment of His promises to you. Amen. Genesis 21 v 6

Today’s WIGTW is one where we talk about certain things I have found out and kept to myself, not because I was being stingy with the knowledge, but because I felt, ‘Well, every christian knows this, why be a broken record’. But if there’s anything the Holy Spirit is teaching me and helping me do, is to let go of the mindset of assuming that everyone knows these things. Wisdom Nuggets: November 2015..

If I had blogged as intended two weeks ago, I am pretty sure the title of the blog post would have been ‘Life Lessons from my CN Tower climb’, but that was two weeks ago, just before I was hit with a ‘big’ change that I did not really get a grasp of how it will affect me until it did. But, oh well! I am here today. Blogging.

I do not for a second think it was a coincidence that this happened just after I blogged about ‘Have You Left Your Place?’ Anyway, let it be known that God remains the King of my life, and stays continuously guarding His own [me], so I won’t leave my place. It may seem like a fall, but it was a repositioning.

I know courtesy requires that I tell you why I was away from blogging for most of November, but I cannot. It is not yet time to share. But in all honesty, I was really hurt, angry. Not angry to a point where I wanted to turn away from God. *cues in William McDowell’s ‘Never Going Back’* No! I was just at a point where all I did was ‘turn up’, not because I did not trust God, but I could not really explain how I felt, because I did not know what I was feeling, mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. I was pretty down, I had words to blog on, but there was no spirit. I wanted to put up a post informing you of the length of the time I would be away from blogging, but then again, I could not put a time span as to how long I needed. But as always, the Word of God is nursing me back to strength. Continue reading

Have You Left Your Place?

Source- Google! Source- Google!

Just before you respond in the comments’ section, I will do us the honor of exploring this question.

Shout out to my brother for consistently having conversations about football with me, till I came around. I believe I am in the right place to say that I am more knowledgeable in the footie matters, compared to two years ago. Since our reunion, I have been almost up to date in the football world compared to being aware of what’s going on in Nollywood. Now that’s a big deal, if you really know me.

From the little I know so far, in every team [correct me if I am wrong], there are defenders, strikers, the goalkeeper, the midfielders and the substitutes. And for every match that is played, the injury or absence of one player can mar the opportunity of the success of the team. I have heard analysis of how the absence of a defender or striker led to the loss of a match; and if there is anything this has taught me, it’s the fact that the existence of their different parts, results in the success of the team. It weighs in on how well the team performs, provided that every player is pulling their weight. Continue reading
